About Cassandra

LA Native Cassandra Violet's haunting folk pop blends infectious hooks and her unique and captivating voice into an unearthly blend of harmony and soulfulness. Her songs are both witty and achingly personal, and might make you laugh or cry.

She was the voice of Lori in the 2021 film “Pig” featuring Nicolas Cage, in which she sings the Bruce Springsteen song “I'm on Fire.” Her unique sounds have been featured at School Night, the Moroccan Lounge, the Echo, the Bootleg, and the Regent Theater, and her songs have been featured on Ozark (Netflix), Undercover (Netflix), The Fosters (ABC Family), and films including Girl on the Edge on Showtime. She released her debut album in 2021, lauded by KCRW as “a standout rumination on finding light in darkness.”

Cassandra writes with an impassioned, feminist lilt about strength, solitude, love and and disappointment, sung with a wink.
